Hip Bones - With a farm smack dab in the middle of "cherry country" we had heard for years about how the wonderful properties of tart cherries help to maintain healthy hips and joints. In the summer of 2003, some friends recommended we try tart cherry concentrate and they were right! We were kickin' and rarin' to go!
We wondered - why does tart cherry concentrate carry such a powerful punch? While asking a few folks at our leading university, we discovered that researchers were asking the same questions - and even patented their discoveries. Overby Farm licensed these patents and got to work!
Our challenge was to figure out a great way to pass on the healthy benefits of tart cherries to our four-legged buddies. That's when the fun began! We started chopping, mixing, and baking in our own farm kitchen in Leelanau County (with our labs Lucy and Abbey as our taste testers) and thats when Hip Bones were born!
Hip Bones are not only a tasty treat for your dog, they are full of carefully selected natural ingredients supporting strong bones and healthy joints. Our dogs love 'em and we hope your pals do too!
