Excellent quality. Both my dogs gobbled it up. This product was recently rated the low glycemic award for the best dog food. Measure by weight to be sure it's euqivalent to measure of previous food or you will notice blood sugar is up in diabetic pet. You actually may get more food per measured cup due to small pellet size. Only con is I'd prefer less or no glucosamine supplement in ingredients.

We had her on a store brand for a while which she always gobbled up, but after extensive research we switched to this about 6 months ago. She loves it SO much that if we ever try to substitute anything else for it (like if we're bad parents and have forgotten to order another bag before we run out) she will not eat! This is from a dog who historically has no problems eating anything edible so it just speaks volumes on how excellent this food is and the caliber of quality it delivers. We introduced it slowly (mixed with her previous food for about a week) and at first she had a little gas, which is natural, but it's helped immensely with her breath, given her even MORE energy (she is 9 but still acts like a puppy!) and also made her poo more solid which makes it easier to pick up. It's a little pricey, but one 30 lb bag typically lasts us about 2 months (1 feeding/day) and shipping is free! I would recommend in it a heartbeat!

Within 3 days we could see improvement in our dog's coat - she looks like she's been hot waxed! After 5 days I decided to reduce the amount fed compared to previous high quality dog food as she appeared to be gaining more weight than desireable. This is a good thing! I reduced by 1/2 c. and this seems to be satisfactory with Sasha and her weight is maintaining just right.

My dog has been on this food for about a month, before that she was on Science Diet Z/D for her allergies. Science Diet was way to expensive per pound, and she was losing too much weight on it due to the high protein content. My little Frisky is eating good quality food with Orijen now, which has helped her allergies because it is grain free. I also love how it is not depriving her of any nutrients and she has put on weight since making the switch. Thank you very much k9 cuisine!! We love Orijen dog food! Our vet recommended it after our dog had terrible dry skin and allergies- I had be so concerned with the quality of ingredients in dog food that I started making her food from scratch. The vet shared my concern and recommended Orijen, that way, we could control her portions (and weight) and she would have a balanced diet. She's on medicine for her allergies but she loves this stuff! We've tried like three or four other dog foods, and she would only eat them for a few days and then quit eating- one kind she would eat pretty regularly, but ever so often she would just stop eating for like three or four days and then she'd be fine and eat like always...but with this stuff, she hasn't missed a day or a single feeding! This is the only variety we have tried and she didn't have a problem switching or anything. I can't say enough good things about this dog food. Yes, it may seem expensive, but compared to what I was spending making her food from scratch, it's actually a bit less. Plus K9 Cuisine is a great company, we've always had super fast shipping (it's usually here in like two days) and it's never been out of stock when we've ordered!

Since switching my older Boxer mix to this food, I've been amazed at the results! Her coat drastically improved and she seems to have a lot more energy. I had been feeding her other very good foods for years but I was having a very hard time finding one that actually agreed with her stomach. Since day one, the Orijen has completely agreed with her stomach (the gas drastically improved- yeah!). Also, she's maintaining a very good weight and has more muscle tone/definition. I feed this along w/ the Evo 95% meat turkey/chicken canned.

I heard so many good reviews about how others picky dogs would gobble this up, but all of my 5 dogs did not react the same way. They wouldn't eat it until they were really hungry. It sat there in their bowls for a whole day before they gave up and ate it. Will not buy it again.

Very healthy product. I teach a companion animal pre vet class and have been studying dog foods for some time. This one seems to fit the requirements of the dog. i feed 2 young highly active dobermans one of which has a 'blue' coat. with this food. their coats are soft, shiny and thick and their overall condition is excellent. since one is a rescue dog of unknown background i can only attribute their condition to the orijen.

Our labrador retriever has allergies and we have had problems finding dog food that does not create problems for him. Even some that were okay for him created more problems down the line with us when they changed their formulas or had recalls due to harmful ingredients getting in their food. His coat is as shiny as satin and he barely sheds on Orijen. So far, we are very pleased with Orijen.

I have previously been feeding her the Wellness Puppy formula and it was time for her to go to adult kibble and I read many great things about Orijen so I thought that I would try it. the dogs are doing well on this food but not as well as dehydrated or raw. Stools are soft but their coats are beutiful - could likely be due to the salmon oil. I have given up on thinking I can can find any kibble that reallly meats whole nutritional needs. But this is a good one if it's all you can do.

Having 3 schanuzers, when the dog recall was out I did alot of research. I chose Orijen because of all the natural ingredients. The ratings were high. My oldest schnauzer was overweight and lazy. Within 6 months, the cross between Orijen and fresh vegatbles and fruit I mix with their food, the results were amazing. Jack is now at his proper weight, and playful like a puppy. The change has been significant and I would not use anything but. This is definatley the best food on the market!!

This is a great product, but make sure to introduce it very slowly into your dog's diet. It took my dog about 10 days to get used to it and for his stool to get back to normal. You may want to add a bit of pumpking to help with the soft stool during the first week.

i own 2 american bulldogs ad i had multiple problems with really bad rashes, hot spots, and quarter sized luimps on my dogs bodies. when i started to feed them this food, their problems immediately started to go away. i would definately reccommend this product if your dogs have allergies to other foods. we even tried all the other products. the only other one that worked for a while was fromm duck and potato.

The results of changing my dogs' food to Orijen were apparent after just 1 week. Not only was the transition easy, but they are nuts over it! It is one of the best foods produced; having named meat products and no controversial fillers, by products, preservatives or any other nasties. Immediately after switching my 11 year old chow/shep mix and my 18 month old ridgeback/pit mix (both 68 lbs.) stopped throwing up! I was feeding Nutro before I "saw the light" (sorry pups!) and have converted a number of friends and family after researching dog food ingredients. You can not go wrong with the product. UPDATE 9/2008: I have been rotating with almost every other super premium dry food, and cannot get the same results with anything but Orijen.

I have a dog with terminal transitional cell carcinoma on this food along with cooked veggies and baked chicken. His coat is shiny and he has gained much needed weight on it and he loves it. To look at him you wouldn't know he has cancer.

This is a great product without any tricks or gimmicks. It smells like real food and my Bichons like it almost as much as raw. They get this once a day mixed with a dehydrated product and some supplements, and they always finish it. They get raw for the other meal but like this almost as much. It also has a much lower fat content than most of the other grain free and high protein brands, and they seem to digest it well.

We took our dogs off of Nutro because our Vet said our dog had allergies and I had heard enough about the importance of what's in dog food that I decided to investigate before choosing another brand. Some of the contents in the brands the vet recommended were horrible, so I did some research online and discovered Orijen. The first bag our dogs adored - didn't have any switch over problems, dogs wouldn't eat their old food. Decided after a few bags to try Inova Evo (spelling?) just for a change, and my American Eskimo had extreme dysentery and would hardly eat it at all. Our Golden Doodle pretty much eats whatever, so we're back with Orijen to stay. Also our Doodle had extreme ear infections and they are finally gone, but I'm not sure if this is due to Orijen or not, as I finally ignored our vet and started giving the dog Wally's Ear Oil, a human product for ears from the health food store and the dog's ears cleared up almost immediately. - Also, agree with one reviewer that I have noticed more flatulence with our larger dog, but also it's winter and he's lying around more and getting less exercise.

I'm giving this an OK because I was hoping to see more improvement in one dog's skin allergies, and that has yet to happen (but I have reordered thinking it may just take longer) and all 3 dogs are pretty flatulent on this food. My Portuguese Water Dog is doing great on this food! My dog was suffering from skin infections and excessive biting of his paws, legs, rear, etc. Holistic vet recommended a grain free dog food, and he's doing great on Orijen. Skin has cleared up totally, energy is greatly improved. I originally suspected he might have food allergies also but no reaction to this food at all. Highly recommended. When other dogs come by to play, they all lunge for this food!

I have several friends here in Germany and they order from Dr. Foster's and the shipping rate is reasonable for the same weight I was going to order from you. Dr. Foster's was about $14.00 for shipping. Is there any way that you could check to see if it is possible for you to get the same rate from USPS as they get. 7 yr old Springer Spaniel likes it, however, he had hellacious gas for 2-3 months. Seems to have grown accustom to it and only on occasion, now, does he clear the room. Coat looks great, and he stopped licking a hot spot on his hind leg for the first time in 3 yrs. Would still like to see something less reliant on heat during manufacturing.

I tried the sample bags of Orijen, as my two dogs haven't been too fond of some of the other grain-free foods. They love this food! The transition wasn't gradual, as they picked out the Orijen and refused to eat their old food that was left in their bowls. Even though they started eating Orijen exclusively in just one day, there were no stomach upsets. This was surprising, as their old food had a much lower protein content. We'll definitely be sticking with this one.

Every dog likes different foods. However, this is our dog's favorite. We have tried Canidae, Timberwolf, Flint River, Artemis, Mother Hubbard, etc.. our dog really prefers this food over the others. It smells tasty, has no grains, and has great ingredients. Our dog loves this food and is doing well. We rotate between Timberwolf and this food. Great coat, weight trimmed, healthy dog, loves this food. But with all others, we had to mix in vegetables to get the dog to eat just kibble. Not with Orijen. Amazing food.

I switched to this super premium food after my black lab developed skin allergies (with consequent repeat visits to the vet) and also seemed to be gaining weight for no reason. Apparently he was bloated from eating a product with grain and fillers, because he immediately started losing weight when I started feeding him Orijen. He no longer has skin allergies, his coat is beautiful and healso has more energy. Orijen is may be more expensive than a lot of dry dog food, but it is well worth it.

We've been looking for a dog food for our Great Pyrenees. We've tried a lot of name brands, and all of them have left him with terrible skin infections and other problems. He's been on Orijen for about 3 weeks now, and his skin is clearing up....no new sore spots and the old ones are healing. Plus he's always been the pickiest eater in the world. But he hasn't missed one meal with Orijen - he loves it and eats it right away! I'm sold!!
