This is a great food for my hard working sheepdogs, one of which is a hard keeper. Well worth the slight extra cost in the smaller quantity of food I end up feeding! I love the simplicity of the ingredients - easy for most dogs to digest.

My dog really likes this food. I slowly changed her from Nutros Lamb & Rice to this, but her stools are still a little too soft. Not sure if that's normal or not. But I'm going to keep her on it for now.

Legacy Adult Dog Food - Horizon Legacy is an innovative grain-free pet food that applies the same nutritional philosophies of a raw diet but in a convenient super-premium kibble. This ancestral diet, grounded in an historical understanding of your pet’s nutritional needs, contains an abundance of fresh, human grade meats combined with fruits, vegetables, unique botanicals and supplements all designed for immune health.
Fresh chicken meat chicken meal salmon meal turkey meal pea starch concentrate green split peas chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols, rosemary, citric acid)
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because one of my dogs doesn't like it. He likes Origin Adult but for some reason doesn't like the Legacy Adult which in some cases seems better to me.

My dogs absolutely LOVE this food. One of my dogs is an English Pointer who is a little finicky and always looks like she's on a starvation diet because she's so skinny. But I've finally been able to put a little weight on her with this food. She's solid muscle and runs for hours and hours!

I was excited to feed this to my dogs, as I researched and found it to be a top-notch dog food. Unfortunately, this didn't bode well with my two lhasa apso's. Apparently, they are allergic to it, resulting in non stop itching. Plus, their stool was very soft (creamy texture). I switched their food to Wellness Simple Solutions, and the itching stopped. Their stools are also solid . I'm not saying this is a horrible dog food, as you can see, many people are happy with it. I'm saying that this didn't do too well with my dogs.

gives it a 5!

Excellent quality. Both my dogs gobbled it up. This product was recently rated the low glycemic award for the best dog food. Measure by weight to be sure it's euqivalent to measure of previous food or you will notice blood sugar is up in diabetic pet. You actually may get more food per measured cup due to small pellet size. Only con is I'd prefer less or no glucosamine supplement in ingredients.

My dog is your typical dog - she will eat anything, anytime, anywhere. We had her on a store brand for a while which she always gobbled up, but after extensive research we switched to this about 6 months ago. She loves it SO much that if we ever try to substitute anything else for it (like if we're bad parents and have forgotten to order another bag before we run out) she will not eat! This is from a dog who historically has no problems eating anything edible so it just speaks volumes on how excellent this food is and the caliber of quality it delivers. We introduced it slowly (mixed with her previous food for about a week) and at first she had a little gas, which is natural, but it's helped immensely with her breath, given her even MORE energy (she is 9 but still acts like a puppy!) and also made her poo more solid which makes it easier to pick up. It's a little pricey, but one 30 lb bag typically lasts us about 2 months (1 feeding/day) and shipping is free! I would recommend in it a heartbeat!
