I've tried the venison from pet store and it was much softer. Maybe this beef jerky is just stale or naturally tougher than the venison from wellnness.

Dogs have gotten loose stools on this product...I had heard that Wellness had been changing their recipes over the past year. I won't buy them again because of loose stools after use x 2 days/training days.
