This food works well if your dog also needs a higher-fiber food (such as dogs with IBD or colitis) since, at 7%, it has about twice the fiber of most others. Combination Feeding If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/3 cup for every 6 oz of wet food. For dogs over 180 lbs: Add 1/4 cup per additional 10 lbs.
Nutrition is only one part of the equation! Be sure to give your dog plenty of love, plenty of exercise and see your veterinarian regularly to help ensure total wellness.
My 72 lb greyhound enjoys this food and he seems to be doing well on it. He has a sensitive stomach, so finding the right food has been difficult, but so far I am pleased.

My dog has allergies and Wellness brand was recommended. She does well with this brand, although I prefer the Venison and Rice, I have bought this as a substitute and it is a good change of pace for my dog.

A chicken-based diet with brown rice that is an excellent starting point for dogs requiring a food with limited ingredients. Also contains flax seeds to contribute important, Omega-3 fatty acids.
My experience with K9 Cuisine was beyond horrible. I would never, ever recommend them to anyone! I waited for 3 weeks to get my order, with no communications from the company. When I called, I was told the order would arrive shortly. It did not. When it finally arrived, it was missing 3 items. The customer service was dreadful, and I will never use them again. That said, we love Wysong Synorgon dog food, have been using it for years, and our dog is extremely healthy and has a very soft coat. Wysong I recommend. K9Cuisine.com, I do not.

Often times when I feed them other brands, they barely pick at their food in the morning and then by evening, they eat but more from necessity than because they actually like the food. When I feed them Wysong, that all changes. They eat their breakfast and their dinner with equal excitement. I believe they look and act better as well. I LOVE this product! My dog loves it, he was recently diagnosed with very early stages of kidney disease and the food my vet recommend was full of awful ingredients. After doing so research on what a balanced diet for a dog in the very early stages of KD looked like I found Burns Pet Health, it meets his nutritional requirements and I like the ingredient list. His minor KD symptoms have also improved making me an even bigger fan. I scoured the web looking for the food at the best price (w/shipping) because it's not sold locally and k9cuisine.com was by far the best value.

We recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals or any other supplements, except upon the advice of a veterinarian. When switching your dog's diet, the change should be made gradually, by replacing the current food with increasing portions of Natural Balance® Ultra Premium Vegetarian Formula. The Adult dogs should be fed either once or twice per day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance® Vegetarian Formula, we suggest to start with the amounts recommended in the Table. Working Dogs Based on the work your dog will be asked to perform, the nutritional requirements will vary accordingly. As the work load increases, the demand for protein and fat increases proportionally. Dogs in hard training will generally require twice the maintenance levels.
The Older Dog As your dog begins to age, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper body weight for less active dog.

It's taking my dog longer to adjust to this new food than she usually does when just changing brands. I'm still putting a few pieces of regular kibble (till it runs out, which it nearly is all gone)in with the new veggie formula because she's having looser stools. I'm confident her digestive system will adjust to the new veggie formula. She seems to like the taste okay, but doesn't act overjoyed by it. I'm hoping that by the time her old formula is completely gone and she's 100% on the veggie formula, she will both like it a lot and her tummy will be accustomed to more fiber. It's a major change, but a necessary one.
