This food looked so healthy and I thought it would be really good from my dogs. They have skin problems, but I could not get they to eat it. They would only eat it if I added salmon oil or can salmon.

My dog has many food and skin allergies and this is a tolerable food for now and even that is hard for us to find, so I am thrilled. We add some water to the food because it is almost powdery dry and our dog acted like she was getting choked. Also the feeding guidelines are high. We have an 83 pound dog and feed her the amount for a 44 pound dog and she even gained 2 pounds.

Pros: My greyhounds LOVE this food. They obviously enjoy the taste because they eat it entirely at every meal. The benefits I've seen include improved coat (my female had bare-butt when we got her, now she has a bare spot the size of a quarter...my male has hair growing in scars which were hairless before), no more dandruff and there is less waste to pick up. Overall a great product!
Cons: I am really disappointed the 30 pound bags are not more available right now. The additional cost of the 15 pound bags forced me to purchase another food for now and until availability is back to normal.

I switched my 4 year old female boxer from EVO when she started putting on too much weight from the high protein/fat content. The Before Grain gives her the same high quality nutrition with a slightly lower fat content. She's dropped 5 lbs and is now her normal healthy weight. My Shih Tzu loves this product! Not to sound too gross but his stools are so much better on the "BG" line. They're more formed and he doesn't "go" as often as he used to on regular food.
