Sudden changes in diet can sometimes result in digestive disturbances. Do not overfeed regardless of the pet’s acceptance and eagerness. Overfeeding is the most common cause of digestive upset. Always introduce any new diet over a period of days, mixing with the present diet. Keep fresh water available at all times and offer plenty of exercise.

Fritz loves it and it seems to agree with him. I haven't done any research as of yet on raw food for dogs but, intend to do so. I'm wondering if it's a good thing that there's less residue creating less poop, of course. Right now I'm feeding him half of the suggested amount of the raw lamb and half of the suggested daily amount of Origen. I'm doing this partially because I think the dry food is probably better for keeping his teeth clean. Luckily, he eats the raw first because he apparently prefers it and them eats the dry. I feed him half and half at the same meal twice a day.

Your pets are meat eaters, so raw food is the most instinctive and natural form of nutrition they can eat. A diet consisting of raw, fresh meat, organs, ground bone, and fat reflects what they would eat in nature. With natural proportions of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, proteins, and amino acids, raw diets provide wholesome nutrition for the health of your pets. The natural results of such high quality nutrition include increased energy, toned muscles, and a soft, glossy coat!

My two dogs (boxers) love this food. I give them each a half a patty every other day and just decrease their dry food by 1 cup. They scarf this down and I feel better supplementing their processed food with something REAL! We haven't had any digesting upset with this slow switch.

This is a high quality product and my super picky cat cannot get enough of the flavor.

2. Diana on 12/16/2008, said:

This is the only food that my cat can eat that agrees with her stomach and bowels, she and her sister use to throw up and have runny stools from those other (spendy) foods I bought for her and my other cat (her sister died of kidney disease)... I have noticed that her fur has almost completely stopped coming out, she eats less to feel satisfied and has even lost some weight that she needed to lose, she loves her "Fresh water Trout" and I love to see her feeling so much better, don't change a thing and I will buy this food for her for years to come, I wish I had found this before I lost my other little girl... :0( Thank You, Diana*

3. Cindy on 10/25/2008, said:

He loves the taste and is finally gaining some weight.

4. Deena on 7/1/2008, said:

My cats (17yrs/7yrs) have liked other no-grain food for a FEW meals only to eventually turn up their noses and walk away (money down the drain), but they love this every time. I've noticed a difference in their overall health (shinier coats/restored muscle mass/reduced weight) and demeanor. I've tried many others. It's worth the price!

5. Mary on 6/12/2008, said:

My cat ate one bite of this food and then never touched his bowl again. Since we live in the country I ended up putting the food out for the stray cats.

Both my cats love it! I bought it for the low mag and ash since they both have urinary issues. The actual cat food is very very small which I thought was going to cause problems since both of my cats swallow rather than chew their food and that causes vomiting, but so far so good! It is expensive, but I alternate this food along with Wellness canned food to help with my budget and give my cats more water which is the best thing to aid in urinary tract issues.

2. Stephanie on 9/24/2009, said:

My cats love the food. Not sure if the food caused one of my cats to get a white skin irritation, similar to dandruff. Perhaps one of the ingredients caused this. I'll have to switch to another food.

Weruva - Asian Fusion - Tuna, Rice & Shirasu

A terrific pacific treat, made with red meat tuna and shirasu. Shirasu are baby anchovies. Translated as “white child” or “white small,” perhaps the smallest fish available on the market, shirasu have become a traditional part of the Japanese diet. Like many people throughout the world eat cheese with their wine, many Japanese consume shirasu with their sake.
