This food is working out very well for my five kitties (age range 1 year to 12 years). They absolutely love the food and I've noticed that they look a lot better since I've switched them over. Their coats are nice and shiny and they seem happier. This stuff is fabulous; I have 3 cats, one of whom weighed 24lbs and truly needed to lose weight. They have all been on this since about May 2008. Fat Sham is now down to 18lbs 4.5oz. The other 2 have lost some weight too. And this with no portion control at all. Their coats are amazing and they very rarely throw up at all anymore. It's expensive, but it's worth it.

One problem I have noticed with this flavor in the cans is the pop open top of the can breaks off before you can get it open(so you have to use a can opener). None of the other flavors have done that. It has happened to about 30% of the cans we have purchased in only this flavor.

I am hesitant to rate a product that my cats refused to eat. The product looks and smells ok but after 3 days of not eating, my vet asked that I put them back on their old food.

Feed adult cats at least twice a day, allowing as much food as your cat will eat. Cats regulate their own food intake and seldom overeat. Remember to refrigerate unused portions and keep fresh water available at all times.

The cats will take a small sample and seem okay with the taste, but will not go back to eat any more after about five minutes. The can is way too big for finicky eaters, so most of it goes to waste. They might be okay with a much smaller can that's a single serving.

This product has very little gravy with it in comparison to the chicken variety. So I need to add some water with it. Otherwise the food is well eaten.

All six of my cats love this food. One would only eat dry at first, but after a couple of days of picking at it, he has no hesitation with it at all. It has helped litter box cleanup (very little odor) and stools are formed and solid. Two of my cats have digestive problems and I'd been trying different foods. This was the first grain free food I've tried. I have attempted to mix in the dry kibble, same brand, but their digestion isn't handling it as well...someone told me it might be the extra vitamin E used as a preservative in the dry. Don't know for sure but once I removed the dry, digestion cleared right up.
