Lamb Meal from range fed lamb; enhanced with Whole Brown Rice and Oatmeal
Allergy affected dogs will benefit from our single source, hypoallergenic, animal protein.
Antioxidants - Vitamins A, C, E and Beta-Carotene are added to enhance the immune system and slow cell deterioration.
Preserved Naturally - Preserved with natural mixed tocopherols.
Glucosamine - This nutrient occurs naturally in the joints of humans and animals. Guaranteed levels are added to this formula.
Lamb Meal & Rice Formula - This is a multi-purpose formula for adult dogs. It may be fed as the sole diet to normally active adults. Holistic vet practitioners will rotate among the three single-source protein diets (Anchovy, Sardine & Salmon Meal, Duck Meal with Oatmeal and Lamb Meal & Rice) every 3-30 days. They may be fed with any of our canned diets. If there is an allergy issue, match to the same protein source. Kibble formulas are ideal hypoallergenic diets as they contain only one meat meal protein source, and no other ingredients normally considered to trigger an allergic reaction. Our unique combination of high protein digestibility, SQM® System, Prebiotics, Probiotics and Digestive Enzymes also aid in resolving allergies.

Large Breed Adult Health - Dog Food - With grand scale and greater weight, your large breed dog has a unique physical composition that creates special nutritional needs.
Obesity is a Bigger Challenge for Large Breeds Extra weight puts extra stress on a large frame, so it's important for your dog to feel satiated without consuming excess calories. With moderate fat, this recipe helps control energy intake allowing your dog to eat enough and still maintain a healthy weight every day.
Small Digestive Tracts Relative to Body Size It is important for large breeds to easily digest and process food. We include live, naturally-occurring micro-organisms to support digestive health and we ensure optimal nutrient absorption through our Digestool™ confirmation studies - less nutrients in the stool, means more nutrients in the body.
Higher Percentage of Muscle Mass With greater size, there is more muscle to support and keep strong so we use 13% more protein than our Super5Mix Complete Health Recipe with 4 quality animal protein sources.
Need to Keep Joints Healthy Carrying an average weight of 100 pounds is hard work. To help keep joints healthy, this recipe features our WellFlex® System - 750 mg/kg of glucosamine hydrochloride and 250 mg/kg of chondroitin sulfate.
Large Breeds Tend to Eat Too Fast This bigger, rounder kibble is designed to promote proper chewing time in larger mouths. We also guarantee your dog will love the taste of each healthy, flavorful bite. Outstanding fiber source for healthy digestion. A naturally rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids.

Transitioning to Wellness: It is important to slowly transition your dog from his/her current diet as it takes a few days for the body to adapt to the new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness by day 7.
Determining Feeding Portions: Looking at the chart below, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Wellness believes in feeding dry and wet food in combination whenever possible to help increase the level of water in your dog's diet.
Recommended Feeding Portions (Based on a standard 8 oz dry measuring cup)
Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information below as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed.

Nutrition is only one part of the equation! Be sure to give your dog plenty of love, plenty of exercise and see your veterinarian regularly to help ensure total wellness.

Puppies up to 6 months old may be fed 3 to 4 times daily. Puppies six months to a year may be fed twice daily.
Feed Pregnant Dogs up to 50% more during the last 3 weeks of pregnancy. Nursing mothers require twice the amount of food as suggested in the daily guidelines and may be fed 3 to 4 times a day.
The above Daily Feeding Guidelines are a good starting point on the amount of food suggested to be fed on a daily basis. If you feed more than once per day, simply divide the Daily Feeding Guidelines by the amount of times fed per day.
Still another winner. My dog, who is a happy senior citizen, loves this food. It's highly digestible with no filler, a fact which seems to encourages regular, firm bowel movements. Before I started feeding her Canidae, she was often constipated.

Wolf Cub Large Breed Puppy Food (bison) - New Formula! High energy diets, like most puppy foods, can promote rapid growth in large breed puppies, which can play a role in the development of orthopedic diseases. WolfCub Large Breed Puppy Formula contains lower amounts of protein, fat, calories, and calcium than Hundchen Flocken Puppy Food to help control the growth process. Research shows that a Calcium level of 1.5% or less is the most suitable for a large breed puppy.
Solid Gold is proud to offer our award winning foods and supplements. Our products are all natural, holistic, and do not contain any chemical preservatives.
Solid Gold's premium dry food line includes our popular Hund-n-Flocken Adult Dog Food and our Hundchen Flocken Puppy Food lines. All our dry foods use premium ingredients and contain no artificial preservatives.

Puppies usually begin eating solid food at 4-6 weeks of age. Food should be moistened with water, milk, or broth. Feed puppies three times a day until four months of age. Then feed two times a day thereafter. We recommend splitting the following daily amounts (cups) between two or three feedings. For larger breed puppies, we recommend our Wolf Cub Large Breed Puppy brand.
