Your company is terrific. The free shipping really helps. It's also nice to not have to carry the heavy food bags to my truck, then out of the truck, into the house. What a treat. I plan on having a long relationship with K9cuisine!! Thanks, Bev Sherry

My dog didn't seem to like the smell of the food at first, but after she tried a little she ate everything quickly!

Transitioning to Wellness: It is important to slowly transition your PUPPY from his/her current diet as it takes a few days for the body to adapt to the new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness by day 7.

How to Feed Your Puppy - As puppies grow up they need to learn when, where and how to eat. Depending on age, puppies need to be fed at the same time and in the same place 2-4 times per day. Food should be removed after 20 minutes, if not eaten. In the beginning, puppy's food can be moistened with a little warm water.

Determining Feeding Portions: Looking at the chart below, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your puppy per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Wellness believes in feeding dry and wet food in combination whenever possible to help increase the level of water in your puppy's diet.

These feeding guidelines are suggested only, feeding amounts may vary by breed, activity and temperament. Dogs begin to consume solid food before they are weaned. Soften Horizon Complete Puppy food with water and offer it 'free-choice' with plenty of fresh water from about 4 weeks of age. Each breed is unique, however after 40 weeks it is not necessary to continue feeding a puppy formula.

I mix this with Embark and Force so I don't really know how much the dogs like it by itself. I like the ingredients.

2. Candie on 10/23/2009, said:

I try to be very well informed regarding dog food ingredients, i'm a pet groomer and boarding kennel owner and often discuss pet foods with clients. This is the best product i've found for our 2 dachshunds and small poodle, no one has itchy skin anymore. Not even the Chinese Crested. Very convenient to use, it smells wonderful.

3. Carol on 7/29/2009, said:

My dog, who has a nervous and sensitive gut, is thriving on Honest Kitchen products! He eagerly eats them. I like Keen for the soothing properties of the oatmeal; Rowdy just likes the taste!

4. Joan on 5/25/2009, said:

My dog would not even try this food at all

5. Martha on 5/20/2009, said:

Puppy really loved the flavor, and I don't mind the he gets some good quality grain in his diet.
