My toy poodle would eat a whole bunch of them at one time if I let him, but I only have been giving him 1 a day and I break it up into smaller pieces for him.

Flex - The Petsoothicals Flex™ line of supplements supports healthy joint function and continued mobility in companion animals. The Flex product line is the first to include the potent anti-inflammatory resveratrol in combination with HA (hyaluronic acid), a primary component of joint-lubricating synovial fluid. Petsoothicals Flex™ is an unbaked soft chew which is intended for animals that currently exhibit mild to moderate stiffness and reduced mobility. Flex can also be administered to healthy animals of any age to reduce the likelihood of future joint problems.
Flex and ProFlex are safe natural alternatives to pharmaceutical anti-inflammatories, which are known to have devastating side effects. Other commonly used anti-inflammatories, including Rimadyl (carprofen) and Previcox (firocoxib), inhibit both pro-inflammatory cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-2) as well as the gastro-protective form of the enzyme (COX-1). The COX-1 inhibitory activity of these products and associated side effects (including elevated liver enzyme levels, gastrointestinal ulcers and kidney damage)can make them unsafe for long-term daily use in many individuals.
Conversely, resveratrol is safe for long-term daily use, as it inhibits gene expression of the COX-2 enzyme without affecting the production of COX-1 enzymes and their gastro-protective byproduct prostaglandins. Rather than inhibiting active COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes circulating in the body, resveratrol inhibits the gene expression of COX-2 enzymes, thus reducing the level of this enzyme present in the body. Resveratrol inhibits a nuclear cofactor (NF-kappaB) that is required for gene expression of COX-2 enzymes, as well as many other pro-inflammatory compounds such as interleukins, tumor necrosis factor alpha, peroxidases, lipoxygenases and nitrous oxide synthases, but it does not affect the production of gastro-protective prostaglandins.
How does hyaluronic acid (HA) work? Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a primary component of cartilage and the joint-lubricating synovial fluid. Levels of HA can be diminished in these connective tissues due to injury, overuse and/or aging. Oral administration of bioavailable forms of HA, such as that in petsoothicals Flex™, replenish HA levels in connective tissues and support continued mobility in your dog.

I like giving this to my growing dogs as a treat! They are getting used to the flavor and now beg for it...protecting joints in big dogs is always a good thing!! Easy to use, too!

I saw a change in my clumber spaniel but haven't really seen a change in the golden retriever. But, I do believe it has helped our clumber with her back and leg issues.

My large dog is 16 and a half years young. I have been giving her some meds from the vet but we know it will hurt her internal organs. We tried giving her the meds from the vet only every other day so try and limit the damage to her organs but the days in between she just didn't feel good. I have been using this for about three weeks and can continue giving her meds from the vet only every other day. She seems to feel much better. In fact I found she jumped on the furniture and tried to play with the younger dogs. So happy we can make her comfy for a bit longer!!

My dog has been taking this for about three weeks now. After about 2 weeks she started becoming more and more active. Now she is a completely different dog. She is a 13 year old dachshund who is a little over weight and has sore joints. 2 years ago she could not hardly walk until I started her on Glucosamine. Still she was very inactive. Now she always wants to be outside and just runs, runs, runs! Great stuff!

I am mixing a small amount in the wet food of an old, arthritic cat. He is eating it and I hope it will help make him feel more comfortable. (I had purchased some expensive capsules from the vet and the kitty would not eat it mixed in his food.)
