I've only been feeding it to my miniature Schnauzer for a short while, so I don't know how it will do long-term. She eats it, but acts like she is still hungry. Runs to my little toy dog's bowl to see if there's anything left! (No luck--the little one scarfs it all down....) I wish this formula had more protein and less grain. The food she was eating before I put her on this one had 28% protein, so I wonder if she's getting enough now with just 17%.

I have been feeding my 14 month old Pyrenees a blend of Fromm Surf & Turf supplemented with fresh organic ground beef or chicken since they were 3 months old. I was very concerned about maintaining a slow steady growth rate in my pups and these feeds have worked beautifully. I have recently added Viva La Venison to their diet in conjunction with the Surf & Turf and organic fresh meats. They love this and are adapting well. Great coats, no allergies, no bloat or stomach problems and they are healthy, satisfied and continuing on their controlled steady growth.

I received my package yesterday. In it was a sample of this stuff. My brother's shih tzu picked this sample out of the bunch and put a hole in the bag. So, I decided to go ahead and let her have it. She and my two chihuahuas loved it. They are all very picky eaters too. I was very pleased.
It doesn't have a fishy or bad smell like other dog foods we've tried. This one is a great one to get, especially if you normally don't feed your dogs beef or fish (like me). It is important for dogs to have a variety of meats in their diets.

This food is really great. Great alternative to raw. My Aussie and Cardi love both the Lamb, and the Venison Ziwi Peak.

It is wonderful alternative to raw. My dog loved it! I just wish k9 was selling it in bigger packaging.

I have 2 dsushunds and they are fussy, i had to put a little of the canned food in with the dry to get them to eat it, they love this product and i no longer have to add soft food to get them to eat it.

Great product and a lot more food than you would think because the bites are small, almost like cat food. A little bit goes a long way.

Pets today suffer from all kinds of food allergies and sensitivities. These can manifest themselves in the form of itchy or dry skin, ear infections, soft or sloppy stool or a host of other problems. Elimination diets are formulas which limit the number of ingredients while selecting unique and novel protein, carbohydrate and oil sources. Selecting novel proteins, oil and carbohydrates and limiting the number of ingredients the pet is exposed to, is the first line of defence against allergies and food intolerances.
