This stuff is fabulous; I have 3 cats, one of whom weighed 24lbs and truly needed to lose weight. They have all been on this since about May 2008. Fat Sham is now down to 18lbs 4.5oz. The other 2 have lost some weight too. And this with no portion control at all. Their coats are amazing and they very rarely throw up at all anymore. It's expensive, but it's worth it.

One problem I have noticed with this flavor in the cans is the pop open top of the can breaks off before you can get it open(so you have to use a can opener). None of the other flavors have done that. It has happened to about 30% of the cans we have purchased in only this flavor.

It was not a good choice for me. My cat refuses to eat it. She has health issues, so I cannot afford to try to "wait her out" to get her to eat this food. I gave it away to a local animal rescue group. I'm sure it is a fine product, but just didn't work for us.

All six of my cats love this food. One would only eat dry at first, but after a couple of days of picking at it, he has no hesitation with it at all. It has helped litter box cleanup (very little odor) and stools are formed and solid. Two of my cats have digestive problems and I'd been trying different foods. This was the first grain free food I've tried. I have attempted to mix in the dry kibble, same brand, but their digestion isn't handling it as well...someone told me it might be the extra vitamin E used as a preservative in the dry. Don't know for sure but once I removed the dry, digestion cleared right up.

I love the Addiction products and they are routinely well-accepted by my animals. I love the novel protein choices that they offer. The venison and avocado gets a 5 star rating from me as a caretaker, but the cats only gave this one a 4 tastewise. They prefer the Brushtail and Vegetables. This one seemed to be the best. Cats went crazy over the duck and came back for seconds and thirds as soon as box came. Now keep in mind I have 9 cats. Even the kitten who has a nuerologic problem went nuts over it. I liked the fact that's its more watery. It made it easy for him to eat since she trembles and shakes. Funny thing is I wrote a good rating for Holistic Select Chicken hard food for cats. After they had the Evo for the first time. They all stopped eating the Holistic Select which they use to love. So had to switch them to Evo hard food now along with evo canned food. The Chicken Evo does not seem to be liked as much as duck. Plus its more pastey.

My one cat loves duck and the Chicken and turkey. But all 9 love the duck. So my advice is Go for the duck. They nibble at the chicken and turkey but go nuts over the duck. 3 STARS FOR THE CHICKEN AND TURKEY. 5 stars for the Duck.

After learning what goes into canned cat/dog food purchased at the grocery store, I wanted to get them on something much healthier.
