Premier was founded by pet-people, for pet-people. They believe in providing safe, innovative and effective tools that help improve relationships between people and their pets.
Their Story
With a $5,000 loan, two refurbished sewing machines, and a desire to make a more effective training collar, Sharon Madere started Premier Pet Products in 1989, making dog collars in a spare bedroom of their small home.
With their products earning the trust of leading behaviorists, veterinarians and trainers, Premier has grown to an international player in the pet products industry, servicing thousands of accounts around the world.
Their Passion
It brings the people at Premier great joy to manufacture and distribute amazing products for dogs, cats, birds, ferrets and even pot-bellied pigs. There’s nothing more rewarding to them than to see happy people with happy pets.
Their People
90 animal lovers work at Premier. Their team has hands-on pet experience and is made up of 30 pet sitters, 13 animal rescue volunteers, 8 animal foster parents, and 3 dog trainers.
Their Inspiration
Their motivation, ideas and knowledge come from the pets who share their lives. Their extended family consists of 93 dogs, 53 cats, 94 fish, 8 birds, 6 horses, 3 rabbits, 2 tortoises, 2 iguanas, 2 guinea pigs, 1 snake and a hamster.
