I am really picky about what I feed my dogs. I needed a food that had high calories AND a good nutritional content for a few of my dogs that need the extra pounds in the winter time. This food can be a little more difficult to get, but it's worth it.

The old guy with the allergies reacted positively to this. Basically ears stayed clear and no rash....both great things. Only 3 stars since out of 3 only the guy who eats ANYTHING dug into this like he couldn't get enough. One could take it or leave it and the third we had to add stuff to interest him. The ingredient list is nice but I am not sure if I would purchase again.

I got this food for our Golden Retriever puppy after becoming disenchanted with the lack of protein in the cheaper brands. I wanted him to have good nutrition instead of grain filler. Since he started eating this food, his coat looks shinier and he seems more alert.

Most of my cats appear to enjoy this food. They seem to digest it very well. The only complaint I have is that the cats crunch the food into small pieces, but they eventually eat these; like I said, very minor complaint. Overall, a great food, especially for multiple cat situations.

This is one of only two dry cat foods that all our cats like. Unfortunately, this causes one of our cats to vomit almost immediately about 1 out of every 3 times he eats it. This isn't unusual, because most cat foods do this to him. It also makes one of our other cats vomit once in a while. So I'm still looking for a natural/organic cat food that they all like that doesn't upset their stomachs - seems like a never-ending quest because I haven't tried one yet and I had tried every natural/organic cat food sold in the U.S. as of 2 years ago. But I see there are some new ones available now, so I'm trying samples of all the new ones hoping to find the right one for our cat with the sensitive stomach. Artemis is such a good cat food that I will continue to feed it to our other 4 cats unless they really like some new one I find that doesn't upset any of their delicate systems.
