The Jones history as meat cutters and butchers in the USA can be traced back fifteen decades to Stephen Jones, meat cutter, in 1850 in Rome, New York. It moves down each generation from Jay W. Jones, meat cutter, moving to Clinton, Wisconsin in 1870, to Jay E. Jones, meat cutter, moving to Harvard, Illinois in 1902, to Robert M. Jones, meat cutter, opening Jones Packaging Company in 1952 in Harvard, Illinois. With each new generation being trained in meat cutting and passing down the family tradition, Robert L. Jones worked in his father's meat packing plant until 1970.
In 1970 Robert L. Jones founded this compnay as a small meat market with a smokehouse to provide custom butchering and smoking for local farmers in Woodstock, Illinois. The best cuts of meat also produced the best bones and word traveled fast that Jones was the place to go for naturally baked dog treats. By 1988, three of Robert's children, Darren, Dean, and Laura had joined the company and were eager to expand the dog treats. The dog treat division was officially established in 1991. The company expanded to an additional Woodstock facility in 1994, and another additional facility in 1998 and 2003. After occupying five separate locations in Woodstock, the company expanded to a new single location in Rockford, Illinois in 2005. The meat company, Jones Locker Service Inc., remains in the family and is now owned and operated by Robert's youngest daughter, and her husband, Jeff and Suzanne Madenis.
Six generations of expertise in the meat industry have proven to be a valuable asset to Jones Natural Chews. THe Jones family takes pride in the consistency and quality of their natural, healthy dog treats and chews made from animal products supplied by USDA inspected plants within the USA. Over the years, Jones Natural Chews has carefully developed several types and sizes of chews and treats for all size dogs and all types of chewers. Supervision is always recommended when you feed your dogs bones, chews, or treats. Choose a suitable bone or treat for your dog that is consistent with the size of the dog and the dog's chewing habits. It is recommended to take any bone away if it becomes small enough to fit inside the dog's mouth and remove any small bone pieces the dog has chewed off.
Before I was through unloading the bag,my dog had smelled this treat and it took just about 20 minutes and it was gone. Probably not a good buy for us as I like them to be smaller and last longer.

Beef Hooves - Let your dog go crazy over this hoof because it is a great source of protein and they will love every chew of it. This is one of our most popular treat because your dog finds them so irresistible and it will give them hours of gnawing time. Hooves are USA beef toenail and have been thoroughly cleaned and baked to their finest.
These Hooves are absolutely gross! I had no Idea they would smell like a pile of manure. My dog loved it in a gross sort of way, but my kids and I were gagging as they were chewing, so we just had to toss them out!. Definitely a "treat" for a dog to enjoy outdoors. We love K9cuisine.com but this will not be in my cart again.

My dogs all love these. The best chews you can get and the price is fabulous.
Beef Rib Bone - Baby back ribs are meaty and full of juicy flavor. Our ribs are just as wonderful and your dog would be in for a real treat. The entire luscious taste comes from slowly roasting them in the oven and the hint of natural liquid smoke. Ribs come from the rib bones of a USA beef.

These were a hit with the bassets. The inner bone lasts a long time and five of these lasted me over a week - with one seemingly going to last forever.

The coating on the outside is great but the bone itself splinters very easily and I had to pick up the sharp pieces so they would not be ingested. Will not buy again

My dog likes the taste of these but the other comments are right: they're brittle, stiff, not at all chewy. I appreciate that they're made in the US and are an option for chicken/beef-allergic dogs, but do wish they more of a jerky texture. I won't likely be buying more for that reason.

The dogs liked them but they are stiff/hard so not very useful to me as training treats.

Really hard treat. Since it is Jerky, I was expecting softer pieces. I like to cut treats into smaller pieces to give as training treats, but it is impossible to give them as such with this "jerky".
Venison Entree Sausage - Every dog can have a wild side, some like to run away, some get too jumpy, and some like to chew your shoes. With venison entree jerky your dog will be running toward you for that treat, sitting down being a good dog waiting for this chew, and will be chewing the venison instead of your shoes. This jerky is USA venison or deer that is naturally baked full of wildness for your wild, fun, and crazy pups.
Not by the hair on my chinny, chin, chin. "The other ear" is a perfect name for the pig chin. The pig chin is very similar to the pig ear but is less expensive. If you don't tell you dog they will never know...shhhh. As always all Jones products are grown and made in the USA and have not artificial ingredients added.
Tender Taffy - Chicken Blend - For those dogs that are in need of tender care or those dogs that have a tender heart, this treat is just the right thing. Tender Taffy is a soft and flexible strip that breaks easily in pieces for training treats. It is made of USA chicken with a few other natural ingredients added. Dogs extra small to extra large taste this chew and nothing else will do. Six sticks come in a 2.5 oz bag.
