I have an older chocolate lab, very picky. She has done well on a raw diet of late and this product is easy to use and she is doing very well on it and loves it.

Fritz loves it and it seems to agree with him. I haven't done any research as of yet on raw food for dogs but, intend to do so. I'm wondering if it's a good thing that there's less residue creating less poop, of course. Right now I'm feeding him half of the suggested amount of the raw lamb and half of the suggested daily amount of Origen. I'm doing this partially because I think the dry food is probably better for keeping his teeth clean. Luckily, he eats the raw first because he apparently prefers it and them eats the dry. I feed him half and half at the same meal twice a day.

My dog will not eat the product raw. I have to
cook it partially and then he relishes it. I am
hoping that he will be able to transition to the

I have 3 dogs who have eaten NV Instinct since we got them with no problems. They usually eat the chicken, but K9 was out so I ordered Duck & Turkey. They've eaten this before with no problem. This time, all 3 dogs were vomiting and had diarrea. As soon as we changed the food to Wellness Core, they stopped. Like I said, they've eaten this before without problems, and we blend the food together ove the course of a week so as not to upset their stomach. I believe we received a bad bag of dog food. We've always had good luck with Nature's Variety until now, but we're trying Wellness Core now. I still rate NV very high in quality.

This is a great product! My dogs love it and it took care of tartar build up on the teeth. If you have an aggressive chewer monitor them with it, as it can easily be eaten in a very short amount of time, which can lead to upset stomachs.

I have mini doxies and they chewed these down so fast and QUARTER SIZE PIECES broke off. They also drank so much water after that they were incontinent. Threw the remaining 2 away.

My cats love the food & it's good for them. Problem was bag arrived sealed in box with canned food. Bag was previously clawed open and kibble was all over the inside of the shipping box. Using it anyway - but be cautious with storage please. Will order again!

I've had my dogs try all the flavors, I think rabbit is their favorite - but they eat them all and all appear to be high quality.

I use this to feed my exotic cats as its the same as cat food ingredients wise though I do notice there is more liquid in the dog food than the cat food. My cats seem to like the cat food better though I know there isnt supposed to be a difference and since it only comes in smaller cans I buy the dog food. The lamb is what my nursing queens seem to like best at this time though they are finicky.

Dogs enjoyed it, but when I had to save half a can overnight in the fridge, it turned a hard clay consistency. I ran hot water over the can to get it to come out. Expensive.

My Nature's Variety Prairie Kibble (Bag) Complaint!
When I opened up a new bag of my "Prairie Beef & Barley" kibble a few days ago, I was dismayed to find that the oxygen-barrier bag and zip-lock feature were no more! I have always been very pleased with the way your product stays so fresh, from first bite to last bite {according to Dixie's finicky standards}. Why in-the-world would you change this excellent packaging concept for what I consider to be a lesser quality style of packaging? "IF IT WORKS, DON'T FIX IT!!" Now I will be forced to go buy a dog food canister-bin that won't measure up to the oxygen-barrier bag standards that were already in place with your former packaging. I hope other loyal customers will also complain as to this "improvement", so that we can return to the better choice of the oxygen-barrier bags, with the zip-lock feature. Thank you~

Have used Nature's Variety since my dogs went on "Adult" dog food. I like it because I can rotate flavors easily and neither dog has ever had a problem.
