Located in the heart of Alberta's prairie farmlands, Champion is a reputable producer of high quality dog and cat foods that are exported worldwide since 1975.
Different from the typical "meal and grain" diets, ORIJEN formulas start from fresh regional ingredients like grain-fed chicken and fresh whole eggs produced on local prairie farms, lake whitefish - freshly caught from the icy depths of northern Canadian lakes, and salmon, cranberries and apples from Pacific coast oceans and orchards.
Using proprietory, low-temperature (90C) processing methods, we steam-cook our fresh ingredients in small batches to preserve their natural goodness and delicious taste.
Perhaps what sets us most apart is our deep passion for dogs and cats from all walks of life.
After all, it is with our own dogs and cats in mind that we make ORIJEN - a food that truly puts the optimal nourishment of dogs and cats above all else - a food we proudly call "CANADA'S BEST".
Unlike the marketing and multinational companies that sell (but don't actually make) today's pet foods, Champion Petfoods Ltd. stands apart as a family-owned producer with a mission that is simple and strong.

Our Chihuahua has allergies to chicken and rice - two of the three most common dog food ingredients (the other being corn sadly). In our quest to find better food options for him, we kept running into Orijen. Lots of protein, fresh ingredients and best of all he really loves it. The only complaint is the kibble size is a bit on the big side for him but it doesn't stop him from cleaning his bowl. Oh, and that our finicky cat keeps trying to eat it too!

Out two chihuahuas both love this food!!! Both of their coats are are very shiny. Unfortunately our 10 year old chi ended up gaining weight on it, so we will have to return to a weight reduction formula.

I have two cats - neither one of them liked this food at all. One of them is kind of picky, but the other one eats just about anything. I've used another variety of Orijen that they both liked a lot, but for some reason this was a dud!

Schatzie used to suffer from severe itchy skin rashes, but after feeding with Orijen, she is fine! She started getting lethargic approaching her tenth year, but is now lively as a puppy. Buddy's eyes are so clear now. His alertness has increased so much. It really doesn't cost more than other good quality dog foods because it is more concentrated. We have to feed them less than the average recommendation on the label. They just do so well on so little and look and act great! And K9Cuisine delivers right to our door....love it!

ORIJEN Senior - Biologically Appropriate for All Breeds

In addition to increased dietary protein, senior dogs typically require fewer calories than younger dogs, and fewer carbohydrates help improve insulin resistance.
ORIJEN SENIOR has a Metabolizable Energy (ME) of 3750 kcal/kg or 395 kcal per 250ml cup (105g). Calories are distributed to promote peak physical conditioning with 40% from protein, 25% from fruit & vegetables and 35% from fat.

Excellent food; we find feeding this quality kibble decreases visits to the vet. Once grain was eliminated from the diet, ear infections were gone. Our English Mastiff is thriving as the calcium is perfect and we are careful to not over-feed.

I have been feeding my 12 month old Newfoundland Artemis fresh mix med/large breed, but wanted to try sometihg different. As soon as I put this in front of him, he gobbled it up! He seems to like this much better. I'm not sure how I feel about the high protien content, I will probably continue to mix this with Artemis for a while and see how his growth tracks, but he gives it two paws up!

My american bulldog has been on this for 2 months now. Unfortunately, he has loose really smelly stools, some diarhea, and lots of gas on it. I will have to try something else which is not good since I did so much research thinking Orijen was the best food. It seems like it is kinda luck of the draw with these foods. His skin is really soft, he has lots of energy, and his nails grow really fast though.

This food is amazing!! All 9 of my cats stopped eating neutro holistic select which i thought was good. But they vomited with neutro and every other good brands. THAT WAS UNTIL I GO ORIJEN. Its great!!! they never vomit no more. This Orijen seems to be much better than the Orijen fish. They don't like that one. But its nice to never see vomit again...I give them Evo duck canned food with Orijen hrd food. And still no vomit. Seems to be perfect combination.
