Transitioning to Wellness: It is important to slowly transition your dog from his/her current diet as it takes a few days for the body to adapt to the new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness by day 7.
Determining Feeding Portions: : Looking at the chart below, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Wellness believes in feeding dry and wet food in combination whenever possible to help increase the level of water in your dog's diet.
Recommended Feeding Portions (Based on a standard 8 oz dry measuring cup)
Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information below as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed.

My little Brussels Griffon loves this, and it agrees with her sensitive tummy quite well. I bought such a large bag that it should last her quite some time.

We are very happy with the Wellness brand. We adopted an overweight dog, and had her on the weight management formula until she was at a good weight, then switched to the small breed formula.

I am in the process of trying a number of different premium foods for our new little rescue pomeranian-eskimo mix. She came from the shelter with multiple skin lesions that are thought to be allergy related. She is doing well with this food, but it doesn't "light her fire." In other words, she likes it ok, but prefers another food also being trialed.

I'm so glad Wellness came out with a small breed formula. I love Wellness because of all the quality ingredients, and no rendered meat or animal by-products. This small breed formula is perfect for my little 4 pound Chi. She has such a little mouth, and being a puppy mill rescue dog, she had to have 12 teeth pulled. So, she can easily eat these little bites whole. Also, because you are feeding them such little bites, you end up feeding them less and the food goes a long way. There is a chart, that breaks down how much you are supposed to feed for your dog's weight on the bag and it seems to be pretty accurate.
