Preference - A meat-free, grain free diet, designed as a nutritionally balanced base, to create custom meals for any canine. This diet is also free of potatoes and flax! Use Preference as a base, mixed with your own choice of meat, fish or other protein. Alfalfa, sweet potatoes, cabbage, celery, apples, spinach, organic kelp, coconut, bananas, zucchini, and honey.
Preference is suggested for use with added raw meat, meaty bones or cooked meat of your preference (never cooked bones), as a base for a home made diet. This diet contains a custom vitamin-mineral premix with balanced calcium: phosphorus ratios, which are vital for the maintenance of healthy cells, bones and blood.
This recipe is ideal for dogs who are sensitive to more popular meats. Therefore, more exotic meats, fish or alternative protein sources may be used as required.
Preference is intended for supplemental feeding only, and has not been developed to meet AAFCO nutrient profiles or provide a complete and balanced diet when fed alone.
Meats may be added to Preference at a rate of 1:1 to 2:1 depending on the age, breed and level of activity of your pet.

Storage Dehydrated foods should be stored in a cool, dry place. Our products have a shelf life of twelve months or more, depending upon ambient temperature and humidity. The date of manufacture is printed on all packages. The containers should be closed tightly between meals. We recommend thoroughly cleaning and drying our re-usable buckets, prior to refilling.
my dogs seem to like it. I make up a large bowl weekly, keep it in the frig and use it every day with their dry food.

I never would have expected it, but my dog loves this stuff. She needs higher fiber food, so this addresses that problem (plus I use the THK supplment, Perfect Form). It's easy to mix, easy to store, and you can use whatever protein source you want. I actually just mix it with dry kibble.

We have been using preference for sometime. Our Husky's health has greatly improved since we started feeding her this food.

I like Preference for making an easy, quick and tasty meal. I buy a box to split with a friend so that the food is used while nice and fresh. I mix this food in a lot of ways as I have a lot of different foods that i fix in various ways to always keep my kids excited about eating. Preference is always in my home as a hearty form of veggies, ready to make another great dinner.

My dog really likes it. Seems really healthy and has eliminated her bowel problems. The only downside is waiting for it to hydrate after mixing in the water, only 5 minutes or so but seems longer when my Great Dane is getting impatient!

This is a great food base for a homemade dog food diet. I just add meat and some fruit and or veggies. My two dogs love this food.

My Australian Shepherd Tillie eats Preference with her kibble. The combination has brought her to optimal health. We are so pleased with all the HK products.
