Prowl is a natural, cat food recipe specially formulated for even the fussiest of felines. A higher protein, grain-free cat food, this formula can stand alone or act as a base for your own homemade cat food diet.
Hydration Each dry-measured cup should be mixed with 1 to 1.5 cups of warm water, and will yield about 1lb of fresh food. The fresh food consistency will resemble oatmeal or stew.

Hydrate with fresh, warm water. After hydration, a process that takes just 5 to 10 minutes, these foods should be consumed right away. Any leftover food should be treated like fresh food, and refrigerated up to 48 hours or discarded.
The following daily amounts (DRY quantity) should be adjusted to suit your individual dog’s requirements, which vary according to age, breed and level of daily activity.
Health Verve is a stand-alone diet. Additional foods can be added to these suggested serving sizes if desired. If you choose to add ingredients, we suggest adding about half a cup of home-prepared ingredients for each dry-measured cup of food. For convenience, all our feeding guidelines are based on dry-measured cups.
Storage Dehydrated foods should be stored in a cool, dry place. Our products have a shelf life of twelve months or more, depending upon ambient temperature and humidity. The date of manufacture is printed on all packages.The containers should be closed tightly between meals. We recommend thoroughly cleaning and drying our re-usable buckets, prior to refilling.

My cats who were used to Holistic Select would not eat this. Those who did not eat HS would. The lack of cans is convenient, but it takes a long time to rehydrate certain parts of this food - more than a half hour . I like the fact that you can control the amount of moisture, especially for kitties that need it. I would like to have a version of this that includes fish to tempt those cats that prefer some fish.

I am so grateful for this product, as it helps my kitty with feline stomatitis (severe gingivitis) keep eating. When his mouth is at a point he can't even eat baby food, he'll eat this, even when I add his oral medicine to it. Thank you so much for carrying it!

I used to waste a lot of canned cat food due to finicky cats. It's so nice to be able to make up the canned food as you need it. Both my cats really like this food. You have to add hot water, stir, and then wait 5 minutes. I used to have to listen to a lot of plaintive mewling during those 5 minutes, but now they just patiently wait.
