Puppies up to 6 months old may be fed 3 to 4 times daily. Puppies six months to a year may be fed twice daily.
Feed Pregnant Dogs up to 50% more during the last 3 weeks of pregnancy. Nursing mothers require twice the amount of food as suggested in the daily guidelines and may be fed 3 to 4 times a day.
The above Daily Feeding Guidelines are a good starting point on the amount of food suggested to be fed on a daily basis. If you feed more than once per day, simply divide the Daily Feeding Guidelines by the amount of times fed per day.

Our Dobie has been fed on Canidae for 2 years and his coat is always shines, his teeth area healthy and he does not put on excess weight. He likes his food but does not over eat.

I know some customers have gone on a consumers affairs site and trashed canidae for changing bag size and not lowering price, and some claim the new formula made their pets ill, but my dogs are still thriving on this food!

I have researched this brand and am very happy with the nutritional content of the product, however my dog does not like it. He preferrs the food made by Pet Promise, which is also a super-premium dog food. I wish K9Cuisine carried that brand since it can be hard to find locally. I have had him on Canine Cusine for about three months. This was the last bag I plan to order of this brand. Even though he is not shedding, his coat is shiney and he is growing like a weed. (he is a nine month old German Shepherd that weighs 85lbs.) If he starts to shed on the other product I will switch him back even if he doesn't like the taste.

Finicky Chihuahua grabbed this larger kibbled (than her bitty bite size) out of her Rott older brother's dish while he wasn't looking! So, I have some other good food to switch off /on with her.
