When to feed CORE:
Perfect for everyday feeding, mixing with raw, supplementing raw or replacing raw while traveling.
Who Should Eat CORE:
The nutrient levels of this food are appropriate for adult dogs over 1 year. We do not recommend feeding this formula to puppies as they have special nutritional requirements during their growth stage. Please try our Wellness Puppy Food to meet these unique needs.
How to Feed CORE:
CORE is highly palatable, so your dog may tend to eat more of this food.
Watch initially to see if you need to adjust regular eating patterns. Please give your dog access to clean, cool fresh water at all times.
It is important to slowly transition your dog from his/her current diet as it takes awhile for the body to adapt to the new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness CORE each day, so that you are feeding 100% new food by day 7.

My breeder recommended this food for my senior Aussie and he is doing very well on it. He likes it well enought that I can also use it for food rewards.

My Boston Terrier doesn't really like this. BUT, I do. She will come around, because we have been through this before. She is a sneaky puppy....prefers cat food. I really have to watch her. Like a child with candy! If I put a topper on it, she is good to go.

We switched to this food to help our Lab lose some weight. Within just a month he is already at his target weight and most importantly he likes this food just as well as any others.

The contents of the last bag were powdery. Each scoop had more than average powdery residue of the dog food - not that it is a bad thing, but perhaps the bags were tossed about a bit too much causing the kibble to break apart? Overall my dogs love the product. It is grain free which they both have to eat due to allergies. They are both seniors (9 and 11 years old) and need the weight control of the reduced fat blend.

I purchased this product because I intended to mix it with TOTW High Prairie for my two small breed dogs. I like this product with low fat but still use quality ingredients. It is a perfect product for my boys because it balances the relatively higher fat in TOTW.

Best food I've ever bought. A bit pricey but I'll buy it as long as I can swing it. Great protein sources/ingredients. Higher protein without being too too high. What a difference and everybody loves it!
