Perfect for everyday feeding, mixing with raw, supplementing raw or replacing raw while traveling.
Who Should Eat CORE:
The nutrient levels of this food are appropriate for adult dogs over 1 year. We do not recommend feeding this formula to puppies as they have special nutritional requirements during their growth stage. Please try our Wellness Puppy Food to meet these unique needs.
How to Feed CORE:
CORE is highly palatable, so your dog may tend to eat more of this food.
Watch initially to see if you need to adjust regular eating patterns. Please give your dog access to clean, cool fresh water at all times.
It is important to slowly transition your dog from his/her current diet as it takes awhile for the body to adapt to the new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness CORE each day, so that you are feeding 100% new food by day 7.

MY SHIPOO DIDN'T LIKE THIS FOOD THAT MUCH. WHEN I PUT THE WELLNESS FISH WET FOOD ON TOP WOULDN'T HARDLY TOUCH IT. BUT THE CAT LOVED IT. I THINK HE JUST DOESN'T LIKE FISH. BUT WHEN I PUT DUCK,CHICKEN OR ANY OTHER WET FOOD BY WELLNESS OTHER THAN FISH HE EATS IT. HE WILL EAT IT BY ITSELF OK BUT KINDA PICKS AT UNTIL HE KNOWS HE NOT GETTING SOMETHING ELSE. SO MAKE SURE YOU DOG LIKES FISH BEFORE YOU BUY THIS. IT PROBABLY IS A GOOD DOG FOOD FOR DOGS WHO LIKE FISH AND IS NOT PICKY.HE PREFERS THE SMALL BREED FORMULA BY WELLNESS ALOT MORE THAN THIS -WHICH IS A LOT CHEAPER THAN THIS.

Switched to Wellness Core (red bag) initially for a wheat/corn/soy free diet due to allergies and to keep all our allegics pups on the same food. Two of our four ate it well, and the other two picked at it. Switched to the Ocean formula to increase Omega 3 and 6's for one who needed a boost to the immune system, and she's doing much better. All scarf it down now. The fishy smell isn't terribly strong, either.

Both of our dogs love it. One of our Jack Russells has had allergies and skin and coat issues all his life. Since switching to this food he rarely scratches and his coat is soft and silky. Our other dog doesn't have allergies but is also thriving on it.
